Labrador Retrievers are very friendly, active and outgoing dogs that are categorized in the sporting group. They come in a range of colors including yellow, black, and brown. They have the tendency to shed more than other short-haired breeds. They are known as medium to large dogs with their height ranging from 22.5 -24.5 inches for males, and 21.5-23.5 inches for the females. The average weight for the dogs is 65-80 pounds for males, and 55-70 pounds for females. Their life expectancy is 10-12 years.
